Wedding Season ❤❤

Well wedding season officially began this weekend, these are my favourite celebrations, everyone is loved up and its a time to party and celebrate with family and friends.

We attended a wedding at the Wensum Valley Hotel in Norwich which was made even more romantic by the snow as a backdrop (I'm not sure everyone else had my sentiments in regards to the cold tho!). I unfortunately had to leave the reception early due to a current health condition, but going by the hangovers over breakfast the next morning, a good night was had lol.

We are currently planning our wedding, which is all very exciting, one thing that happened during the weekend, made question  the etiquette of weddings.

During the reception, a friend of the groom decided to give out invitations to his wedding in a few months, now this really shocked me as I felt it was completely disrespectful towards the bride and groom, it was their day and the attention should be on them, not on another guest. It may just be that it was done due a group of friends all being together, but a stamp doesn't cost that much!

So I would love to know other peoples views on what is unacceptable behaviour at a wedding?,  I think we've all heard the horror stories of people proposing at them 😱.

So is it acceptable to try to steal someone else's spotlight on their big day? or would I be justified in punching the person in the face if they tried it at mine? lol

Thanks,

Nee xxx

  1. I was at a wedding when the groom was chewing gum throughout the service - I was amazed! As it was his wedding day does that mean he's allowed to do it, and the rules of etiquette for him don't really count?! x

    1. Maybe a wedding day really is the one day we can get away with doing what we truly want? Did he dispose of it before the big kiss??? x
